Bristol Harlequins 13 – 3 Avonmouth OB’s
The Bristol Rugby Combination Cup final took place at the at the Memorial Ground, and drew a record gate of £378 from a crowd of 2,500.
Bob Hobbs kicked a penalty to level the scores. Bristol Harlequins then scored two ties in the 13th and 16th minutes of extra time.
The first try was scored by Bob Hobbs after Keith Clark surged away from the scrum 20 yards from the Avonmouth line and released the fullback.
Hobbs coverted to make the score 9 - 3, and then winger Roy Berry and center Ronnie Dix led a 70-yard breakaway and ended with prop Willie Magrath scoring the second try.
It was a great forwards battle and the quins back row of Peter Sams, Andy Munden and Keith Clark tackled everything, giving little away.

Bristol Combination Green 'Un Merit Table
Birstol Harlequins clinched the combination double by wining the Cup and the Green 'Un Merit Table Championship.
Bristol Harlequins also became the second club to perform the double, Old Bristolians were the previous double winners in 1974-75.
Twenty-five year-old fly-half Ted Morrison captained the Bristol Harlequins through this remarkable acheivement.
